Estate of John P. Peraza, Deceased Surrogate’s Court, New York County
In Matter of John P. Peraza, I represented the Administrator c.t.a. of the decedent’s estate. A dispute arose concerning the rightful beneficiary of certain pension annuities that were owned at the time of the decedent’s death. My client requested that the Court resolve the controversy and argued that the annuities be paid to certain named beneficiaries. The Court agreed with my client’s position. Pursuant to a Decision and Order of the Court dated December 30, 2014 the Court directed that the annuity proceeds be paid to the beneficiaries that my client had advocated should receive the payments.
